Enterprise Applications and Support

The Enterprise Applications and Support team is responsible for implementing the state's vision of providing convenient and timely access to state government services through online capabilities. To accomplish this vision, the team co-manages the state's webportal, Idaho.gov, in partnership with our third-party partner, Access Idaho. The team also provides a wide variety of information technology services to include website design and webapp development, website hosting, database management, email gateway management, domain name administration, and other similar activities that support enterprise IT services. In addition, this team provides the central service desk functionality for over 30 agencies, boards, and commissions, providing a range of IT support services from desktop support to centralized email and file server management. Enterprise Infrastructure

The Enterprise Infrastructure team is focused on improving the state's telecommunications capabilities. This team is responsible for planning, maintaining, and coordinating services and equipment that comprise Idaho state government's wide area network (WAN). The state's WAN is the electronic foundation which supports state agencies' business systems and facilitates information sharing between agencies and between government and our citizens/businesses. This includes providing secure Internet access for all state agencies, managing the Capitol Mall Fiber Optic Network (CMFONI), co-administering the state's primary network (IDANET), managing statewide voice contracts (to include wireless), and providing direct customer support for networking issues and/or outages of over 600 data/voice circuits for multiple state agencies. Meet the team.

Enterprise Security Services

The Enterprise Security Services team takes the state's lead on protecting our systems and information in order to maintain the trust of our citizens, businesses, and partners. This team leads the development of a comprehensive state security and privacy program and provides leadership to all Agency IT Security Coordinators (within each state agency). The team develops and proposes security policies, standards and guidelines, provides ongoing educational opportunities for state employees, and serves as the primary point of contact for the State of Idaho with national organizations such as the Multistate Information Sharing and Analysis Center and the U.S. Computer Emergency Response Team. The team also manages the technical infrastructure protecting our state's Internet access to include the management of firewalls, virtual private networks, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies. Meet the team.

Enterprise Plans and Programs

The Enterprise Plans and Programs team was recently established to enhance the state's strategic IT planning, enterprise architecture initiatives, IT project management, IT budget forecasting and oversight, and IT contract management functions. This team provides the oversight and accountability on the execution of the state's IT strategic plan, ensuring that the IT Resource Management Council (ITRMC) and the Office of the CIO are applying the necessary resources to accomplish the state's vision. Additionally, the team is establishing and implementing a formal project management process for new IT initiatives deployed by the Office of the CIO to ensure that projects are delivered on time and on budget. Over time, this team will also develop a comprehensive IT portfolio management process to track and administer all large-scale IT projects in executive branch agencies. Meet the team.
