The Office of the CIO provides central website hosting services for state agencies.The following services are currently available.

Public Website Hosting Services

The Office of the CIO provides website hosting services for state agency websites. Our Windows/IIS and Linux/Apache webservers currently host about 120 virtual websites for 85 state agencies, including:

• First Lady's Office
• Governor's Office
• Idaho Capitol Commission
• Idaho Real Estate Commission

• Idaho State Tax Commission
• Idaho Women's Commission
• Lieutenant Governor's Office

The Windows servers are configured to use PERL, JAVA, JavaScript, ColdFusion MX7, .NET Framework 1.1 and 2.0, and Microsoft FrontPage 2000 and 2002 Server Extensions. The Linux servers are configured to use PHP, PERL, JAVA, JavaScript, and ColdFusion MX7. Our webservers maintain a 99.99% uptime average and house approximately 60 GB of data in over 367,000 files.

Website Statistics Reporting Services

We offer weekly, monthly, or quarterly WebTrends website statistics reports for any website hosted on our servers. Currently, we generate 16 weekly, 37 monthly, and one quarterly statistics reports for agencies using our webservers.

Website Search Indexing Services

We offer full-text indexing for search by the Verity Information Server search server. Indexing can run daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly. The search server currently indexes over 73,000 documents in 37 different search indexes.

Intranet Website Hosting Services

Website hosting services are available for intranet websites for any state agency on a Windows IIS webserver with JAVA, JavaScript, Cold Fusion MX 7, .NET Framework 1.1 and 2.0, and FrontPage 2000 and 2002 server extensions. PERL support is not currently configured.

The intranet server is available only to state-network-connected users. Personnel connecting from outside the state network must create a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection to see webpages and webapps on this server.
